Danny Russell joins RESEARCH STRATEGY GROUP as Non-Executive Director
Following 28 years of growth as strategic partners in helping leading brands to understand the landscape and where opportunities lie, RESEARCH STRATEGY GROUP are about to embark on their next growth trajectory. As such, they have appointed the former UK Market Research Society (MRS) and AURA Chairman Danny Russell to be their first Non-Executive Director. In this role, Russell will help managing directors, Anne Coulter and Jim Peterson, further grow the success of the business.
Commenting on the appointment, RESEARCH STRATEGY GROUP MD Anne Coulter said, “We have had significant growth over the past few years and are excited to bring Danny on board to help us get to the next level. We have been developing new streams of research based in the social sciences – our latest offering is navATELIER which brings our clients the opportunity to choose and combine disciplines, such as strategic foresight, ethnography, semiotics, anthropology, UX, and psychoanalytics. Danny will help focus our approaches and bring an experienced buyer’s perspective to our offerings.”
Jim Peterson added, “Danny will help us refine our approaches, and our whole company will benefit from his experience and wise counsel. His many years as a client with some of the UK’s top companies, will give us access to another level of thinking and marketing.”

An experienced industry veteran, Russell is the former Marketing Strategy Director at Sky, who has held a number of senior positions (e.g., Boots, Kraft, British Airways, O2 Telefonica) during his 27 year client-side career. Since founding his consultancy in 2015, he has worked with a range of consumer businesses (21st Century Fox, SSE, Ladbrokes, and Metro Bank) and supply side agencies.
Russell also currently holds a range of Non-Executive and Advisory positions across the insight research sector. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the MRS and is a two-time recipient of the Insight 250 award.
